So I loved the Vampire Diaries but one thing that always bothered me was the inconsistent characterization of Damon. It made for a very taciturn character that often went back on character development and acted against established characterization some times. It kind of felt like a couple different people had ideas of what the character should be like and any time they got the chance to write they would write what they wanted rather than find a middle ground and stick to one type of characterization. I dunno, that’s just my take. We all know TVD had some writing problems and I’ve talked about it before but that’s just the one I was thinking about today. I still loved the show though.
