To this day, the X-Man Cable has the wildest back story and is a real testament to the comic’s love of clones. So I haven’t read a lot of comics in a while but as far as I can remember his origin is something like: Jean Grey dies and Cyclops marries a clone of her, created by a mad scientist who has a weird obsession him. The clone, Madelyn Pryor and Cyclops have a baby named Nathan Summers but then Jean Grey comes back to life and Cyclops up and leaves, abandoning his family which drives Madelyn insane, making her become a super villain named the Goblin Queen and I don’t really remember what she wanted with baby Nathan (something to do will unleashing hell?) I don’t care, anyway Cyclops and Jean take Nathan away from her but then he get’s sick with this techno disease and has to be sent into the future to be cured. Once in the future he is raised by a time displaced version of his half sister from another universe. Anyway there’s also a clone of him but evil and if memory recalls, Nate Grey who was created in a lab by the Mister Sinister (same dude who created Madelyn) from the DNA of Jean Grey and Scott Summers and through some comic book nonsense is basically the same genetic person as Cable. He is also from another dimension which makes him technically like an alternate universe version of Cable.
